WELCOME FROM your Senior Welfare officers
At South College, we want to ensure that everyone has the best student experience possible. This means looking after your welfare and making sure you are safe and enjoying your time at University. You can contact our Senior Welfare Officers Lucy Baker and Theodore Forcer through their email: south.jcrwelfare@durham.ac.uk or @southcollegewelfare on Instagram.
They are also available in the JCR Office during their Office Hours during term time. They are there to signpost and support you, even if you just need to talk over a cup of tea.

Period Products and Sexual Health Supplies
Through this link, livers-in can anonymously request period products and / or sexual health products for free. They are also available from the JCR Office.

Report and Support Durham
Report and Support is an online tool for Durham University staff, students and visitors; you can report an incident (anonymously or with contact details), find support within or outside of the University and further advice. Please use this link for more information.
Durham University Counselling Service
The Counselling Service is a team of trained and experienced practitioners to help you manage any difficulties that are impacting your successful engagement with your studies and with University life. They are available all year round to registered students via self-referral and to staff members via a referral from Occupational Health. You can find more information here.
Durham Student Union Advice Service
The Durham Student’s Union offer support through their advice service. Here you can find information on Housing Support, Academic Support, Financial Support, Non-Academic Misconduct, Complaints, Wellbeing, and Harassment and Discrimination.
Citizens’ Advice Durham
Citizens’ Advice provides free, confidential and independent advice to help people overcome their problems. They offer support over the phone, online or in person and the nearest branch is in Durham Town Centre on North Road. You can find more information here.
